🙏💜🙏 Breaking down the walls 🙏💜🙏

Sometimes we put walls up not to keep people out but to see who cares enough to break them down.
So many people put up so many different types of walls. We hide behind these walls feeling safe and secure from the world and its pains and insecurities waiting for the knight in shining armour to come and break them down, to prove we are worth loving.
The problem is that it is never good to wait for another person to make us feel better about ourselves. When we put our trust in others to feel good we inevitably feel let down.
If we cannot love ourselves enough to break down the wall then anyone we expect or hold responsible to do this has no chance. Even if this persons loves us, they have no hope of success when we are yet to love ourselves.  How can we receive love from another when we cannot love ourselves. How can we find a soul mate when we do not know our own soul? How can we put this responsibility onto somebody else?
So be your own knight in shining armour, love yourself enough to break down the walls you hide behind. Self love is the strongest wall you can ever have ..... it holds no barriers for you or anyone else.

Everything always starts from within including breaking down the walls. So get the self love chisel out and chisel away at those walls to free yourself.

🙏💜🙏 Wings to Fly 🙏💜🙏

Give the ones you love wings to fly...
so they can be free to explore the universe, find themselves and their own beliefs.
Give them roots to come back... so they feel safe to explore know ing there is always somewhere and someone safe to come back to.
Give them reasons so stay... so that when they return they see this is their home.
Sometimes our own fears and insecurities cause us to restrict the ones we love and prevent them from walking on their own journey in this world.
We must remember that we all have a journey and though we may walk along the path with another, it is still their journey and their path and we must allow them to explore it and grow their own way.
When our fears cause us to hold back those we love it creates friction causing a stagnation of the spirit of everyone involved, until no-one is moving forward anymore.
Eventually this restriction causes the very thing we feared would happen in the first place, which is why we behave this way...we loose them.
The very fears of loss that caused the need to control and restrict pushes away the person leaving everyone trying to put themselves back together again.
Trust your path....trust their path....everyone has a different journey to walk and it is not for us to decide how another should walk theirs.

Remember you can only walk your path....not anyone elses

🙏💜🙏 Expand your beliefs 🙏💜🙏

When you expand you belief system you expand your connections
We expand as far as we think we can expand. We connect as far as we think we can connect.
Expand your world, go beyond the space that exists within you. Reach further than the world you see around you. Think bigger than the world you know. There exists a whole universe that we keep being told we know so little about.
We have been told for so long how little we know that we believe it, leaving us feeling we are no longer connected to the universe. We feel disconnected from this universe we apparently know so little about.
Everything is energy and energy is everything, time and space does not limit our connection. There are many star systems, many life forms, many times we may have experienced these life forms is our past lives.
Explore all this in your thoughts. Allow yourself to go beyond the knowledge you are told you have. Reach out to connect to the innate knowledge that exists within all of us.
Many people have experienced memories of past lives from other solar systems such as the Pleidian Star System. The Pleides are a well-known sight in the Northern Hemisphere in winter and in the Southern Hemisphere in summer, and have been known since ancient times to cultures all around the world. There is a link at the bottom of this post to an interesting article about this.

Try and let go of any restrictions you may have in your belief system and explore beyond what you think you know to discover the innate knowledge within.

🙏💜🙏 Go With The Flow 🙏💜🙏

Connect To The Energy and Go with The Flow
Going with the flow is something we seem to naturally fight against in life.
The flow is taking us one direction in a reasonably smooth manner... hence the word flow... and we are fighting like crazy to take a different direction and wondering why things are a struggle.
Most of this fighting is caused by our ancestral brain thinking it knows best.
Evolution hasn't quite caught up with spirituality yet. We know things because we just do, it's called connection to the universe, its called gut instinct, its called intuition. Our brain says...Whoe, wait a minute, lets take that instinctual gut feeling and try to rationalise it!!! Lets take that spiritual moment and try to analyse it and see if we can fit it into some rational box that makes more sense. Huh...now when you look at it like that, it really doesn't make sense to allow the brain to step in.
So whether it be instincts, intuition or guidance... Call it what you will it all boils down to the same thing, if and when we connect to the energy of the universe and tune out of our ancestral brains, we find it easier to go with the flow, which results in us always being and going where we should be, instead of fighting to be or go to a place we definitely shouldn't be....phew !!
We need to learn that our ancestral tool.. the brain... does not know best when it comes to things like life direction, spiritual decisions etc....it is great at problems, sums and other practical stuff , but why oh why do we keep thinking it knows best when it come to the whole spiritual path?

Tune out of your mind.....Connect to the energy.....and go with the flow....

🙏💜🙏 Wish Upon A Star 🙏💜🙏

You Are Never Too Old To Wish Upon A Star
We spend the first half of our life being told to grow up and the second half trying to find the child within us again.
If only we never lost the connection in the first place. Remember how hard it was to grow up...to lose the temptation to be in the moment...to just be. Being told to pay attention and concentrate when our minds were drifting into our imaginations and inner core. Really it all came so natural to us when we were children. The whole living in the moment thing. The emptying the head thing, now known as 'meditation'.
All the things we now seek in our adult life are the things we had forced out of us growing up. Then suddenly we find ourselves disconnected from our true self.
The reason we have to seek out the inner child is because this is where the natural ability to be at peace and in tune with our inner self resides.
It resides in the child because when we came into this world we were our in our most natural self. The closer we can get back to the moment before we were told who to be the more connected we will become.
Allow yourself to be free, create, read, jump in puddles, draw like a child. Dig out one of your favourite old child hood books and read it again. In fact do anything to connect to the child within you for in doing this you will connect to the infinite self.

You are never too old to be young, so seek out those things that you loved as a child and find joy with them once more.

Other things you are never too old to do:
1. Singing in the shower
2. Dancing when the mood takes you
3. Jumping in the puddles
4. Standing in the rain
5. Kicking the leaves
6. Playing pooh Sticks
7. Skipping
8. Blowing Bubbles
9. Playing on the swing
10. Lets pretend..
11. Welly Boots and Mud
12. Building Sandcastles
13. Water Fights
14. Rolling down a hill
15. Making pictures in the clouds
16. Children's books
17. Spending the day in bed..just because
18. Colouring and painting
19. Believing in fairies
20. Taking up a new hobby

🙏💜🙏 Look forward 🙏💜🙏

Believe that what is in front of you is greater than what is behind you
Our mind uses previous experiences to help us understand our current situation and possible future outcomes. The problem with this is that we often perceive our previous experiences in a negative way making it difficult to look forward to the future with a positive attitude.
What if we view all our previous experiences as just that.... an experience...a life experience in which we learn and grow from, whether there was pain or joy attached to the experience it was still an experience in which we have survived, right?
Now, lets take it a little further and say that with each experience comes growth, wisdom and another step forward on life's journey. That would mean there really is nothing ahead of us that will not be greater than that behind us as we are always moving forward even when we feel we are not.
Take a look back at your life and the experiences you had.....in the end...eventually they have probably moved you forward in some way.

So with all this in mind......we can stop worrying and trust that our spiritual pathway is one of growth and moving forward, therefore we can let go of some of those fears and go with the flow of life a little more.

🙏💜🙏 See Better 🙏💜🙏

I see better when my eyes are closed
Most of us suffer with information overload. Our senses are flooded with information from the moment we open our eyes to the moment we close them at night.
When our head finally hits the pillow our mind races around trying to make sense and compartmentalise the overload received during the day. If we manage to stop it doing that it then starts thinking about all the things that we haven't had time to think about during the day due to the sensory overload of unimportant information!

The problem is that our ancestral natural mind is not designed to deal with the modern technological overdose and the over stimulation it receives during the day.
We are flooded with so much extra unnecessary information that achieving a peaceful mind has become virtually impossible.
Information comes from tv, radio, phone, internet, newspaper, billboards... the list in endless.
Think about your journey to work, how much information you are given during your journey, most of which is unrequested and undesired? Phew... how does our brain even begin to filter out the required from the rubbish, how are we possibly supposed to 'find ourselves' between all the noise?
Stop.......Close your eyes.......and Breathe........ ahhhhhhhh
In order for us to see what we need to see and understand what is relevant to us, our spiritual growth and our inner peace we must turn off and tune into ourselves. We can only really see what we need and learn what we need to learn when we shut off the external influences and information overload.
Make sure each day you make the time to turn off and turn in.
Some great ways to switch off are - Meditation, Mindful walks in nature, Adult colouring or any other form of art, Yoga, Writing, Singing, Dancing and just about anything that involves being creative.

15 Minutes each day:
Turn Off....Tune in.......Close your eyes.....and Breathe...

🙏💜🙏 Enjoy the Journey 🙏💜🙏

Forget the Destination..Enjoy the Journey
What if Dorothy focused only on the Wizard on Oz? Would she be so wise when she reached her destination? Would she have become so enlightened if all she thought about and focused on was reaching the destination? Probably not, and she would also be alone...having not noticed the wonderful variety of people hiding along her pathway.
If we focus so much on our destination we miss everything we need to learn on the way, as well as everyone we are supposed to interact with.
When we reach a destination having worn blinkers for the whole journey, it can be very unsatisfying as the wisdom and sense of achievement we thought we may feel is not there, so we quickly set a new destination and blinkers on... we are off again.
This is a cycle that is often repeated again and again. New goals, new targets and empty accomplishments.
The whole point of the Wizard of Oz is that Dorothy's journey has enlightened her by showing her many new and amazing experiences. In truly embracing her journey, including the hardships, by the the time she reaches the Wizard she realises she already has everything she needs and always did have, she just needed to experience the journey to realise it. Her journey was so much more important than the destination in the end.
In order to understand the destination when we arrive we must take off the blinkers, slow down and walk the journey with eyes, ears, heart and spirit wide open.

So do not miss a single brick on that yellow brick road of life as every single one is an experience of life itself in all its magical moments.

🙏💜🙏 Nightmares and Dreams 🙏💜🙏

Do not let another persons nightmares get in the way of your dreams
Your path through life is uniquely yours. Your dreams are uniquely yours.
Everyone in our life is walking on their own path, making their own journey, following their own dreams. When we understand this we learn to be less judgmental and less concerned about what other people think of our journey. Worrying about other people's opinions is a huge hold back on our dreams. The simple truth is, what is right for us at the time may not be right for someone else and vice versa.
So if you happen to be walking along your path next to someone else who is walking along that nightmare path, remember it is their path and this is where they are at right now.
It is ok to reach across from your path and hold their hand for a while, guide them a little.
Just be careful not to drag their nightmare onto your own path or even worse jump from your path to theirs! This won't help you or them.
Sometimes we have to let others walk their path without us and continue on our own.  Trust that their path is unique and no one knows where they are going or what other helping hands awaits them around the corner.

People come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
Listen to your instincts, when its time to let go, let go. It is OK to support someone but if you carry them you will soon be weighed down and stuck with them!

🙏💜🙏 Half Full 🙏💜🙏

You have more than you think you have
Its a great time of year to think about this. High expectations, desires and wants often fill up the Christmas period.
With commercialism beckoning us in with its pretty wrapped temptations, its sales encouraging us to buy things we would never have bought otherwise, and probably don't even need.
So without all this what do you have?
The best things in life really are free. Family, friends, love, hope, gratitude.
When you wake up christmas morning in a warm house, to prepare the food you have, to eat with the family or friends you have. The smiles, the laughter and the shared time is worth so much more than we often realise.

So stop thinking about what you do not have for a moment and look at what you do have. Make sure you see you glass not just half full but overflowing.

🙏💜🙏 Labels 🙏💜🙏

Label-Me-Not!
Labels are everywhere! They are on everything we buy, everything we see and every type of behaviour and personality now has a label too.It is no surprise that we do not realise we walk around with a ton of labels stuck on us. Labels given to us from parents, partners, bosses, society, health professionals, magazines, the list is endless.

We walk around with all these labels weighing us down; too thin, too fat, too sensitive, too insensitive, too shy, too confident, too outspoken, too quiet, too trusting, too suspicious, too strong, too weak.
Wow when you look at it like that, there really is no pleasing anyone, no wonder we get so confused about who we are and who we should be.

That is just the point, there is no need to be pleasing everyone, and one of the reasons we allow these labels to be stuck on us is our fear of what other people think and our desperation to people please. Old saying, "you can't please all the people all of the time, you can only please some of the people some of the time". BUT that is still about everyone else.

What about YOU???.....
Stop for a minute and think about those labels......think about the labels that you have about yourself .......... write a list of them if that helps.
Now, imagine yourself tearing them off, all of them of and throwing them in the bin.
Feel lighter??? Now you just have you and all that you are, without the labels to specify.

Labels make us feel ashamed of the unique things that make us who we are.

Once you are happy with yourself you will no longer have these labels to contend with because when someone tries to give it to you, you will say "no thanks, you can have that back, I don't need a label to tell me who I am today thanks. I am ME".

So remove the pile up of labels to have been given and reveal the YOU that is underneath them.

🙏💜🙏 The Journey 🙏💜🙏

The Journey is Your Destination

We all have goals in life, points in our life we would like to be at. Whether material or spiritual, these goals can often take over our thoughts encompassing our minds with thoughts solely about the future target and reaching that dream destination.

With this track of thinking we miss the moments and all we see is this:
Point A                                                         Point B
I am here and don't want to be :(          I want to be here, and I am not :(

So we end up being sad and negative because we are at point A and we are sad and negative because we are not at point B. Thats a lot of Sad and Negative going on!

The journey of life is the destination, not just where we end up. Between point A and B is an amazing life adventure and journey.
This journey may not always seem smooth, but all these moments and lessons on our journey are the most important things.
If we just jumped from A to B without everything in between we will have missed everything life has to show us on the way and all those precious moments are gone.
It is on our journey we learn to grow, it is on our journey we learn to let go, it is on our journey we learn to love, it is on our journey we find our true self.

So remember to enjoy the journey ..... this is your true destination.

🙏💜🙏 Problem or Opportunity? 🙏💜🙏

Problem or Opportunity...You decide
So, what do you see when you look at this picture, spilt paint or an opportunity?
We come across so many similar scenarios in our every days lives. Situations that some may call problems and others an opportunity or a missed opportunity if it remains a problem!
Think about the last "problem" you had. I mean really think... what if you could change your perception of that problem and try to see the opportunity within it.
Give yourself a few minutes to think about how that problem could have been an opportunity.
If you are struggling with it and your mind still sees it as a problem then think about what you have learnt from the "problem". Maybe you have learned how to do it differently or how to see things another way.
The reality is that when you look out at life and see problems, many times these problems can be opportunities if we just change our perception of them. We have so much more control over events than we think we do. We may not always be able to change events but we can always change how we view them.

Now for a little story!....

Life is a gift

Life is a gift to appreciate every day

Most of us live extremely hectic lives causing us to get wrapped up in our day to day events. We fly through most our days on autopilot, our conscious minds rarely giving thought to our day to day lives.
Running errands, ticking things off the to-do list, then at night time collapsing into bed exhausted to sleep only to begin it all again the next day.
It is important in each day to take moments to reflect and appreciate the simple gift of life and all it gives us day to day.
Within every hectic day are moments that can be found to reflect, appreciate and find things that we are grateful for, such as life, health, loved ones, warmth and shelter.

Next time you find your self feeling negative about something in your day or life, try to see a way to appreciate it, some simple examples:

Dishes to wash means food to eat
House to clean makes for a safe place to live
Piles of laundry means you have clothes to wear

What often gets us down in our days are not the events themselves but our perception of them.

Life is a gift so remember to find ways to be grateful and appreciate the many things that you have in your life.
What can you appreciate in your life today?

Who are you?

Who were you before the world took you?

How often to do we stop and look at who we truly are?
We spend so much of our time worrying about what other people think, trying to fit in, trying to be the best employer, employee, wife, husband, girlfriend, mother.
We strive to be what we think the world and society want us to be. The longer we do this for the more we pull the blindfold over our eyes that look out and over our eyes that look in. Before we know it we have completely lost ourselves to the expectations around us.
So...... who were you before the world took you? The innocent child living in the moment, exploring the excitements of every new thing, every new day, the beauty in the world, the moments that were all that mattered, the creativity, the fun, before we tried to fit in.
We forget that within us is a soul that is truly us, that remains untouched by all the pressures and expectations around us.
It is easier than we think to tap into this. Just reading this is allowing you to question and look deeper within yourself to reveal your true self.
Think about who is really you, what do you really think, what do you really want to do, what are your dreams? If you took away all the expectations the world has placed on you, what is left? Who are you when you are alone and free?
Many people think that you can not combine the spiritual self with the every day pressures of the worldly expectations. This is possible.... even for the busiest people,  there is time to reflect, there is time to meditate. Any time spent googling, texting, facebooking or other social media can be swapped for time with your true self.

We all need a balance in our lives, so stop......and just ask.... Who was I before the world took me?

Today... A mindful exercise

If you keep thinking of yesterday and tomorrow, before you know it today will be gone
How much time do you spend thinking about what has already happened or what may happen in the future? ..... Our brain seems to be hardwired to think about past events and possible future ones to a point where we are very rarely present in the moment.
Think about how much of today you spent not in the moment. Worrying about things that may not every happen or things that already have.
Before you know it your day has gone and you are lying in bed analysing all the days events that have already happened and thinking about tomorrows events that have not, and may not happen. Wow, sounds a little crazy when you look at it like that doesn't it. A life of past and future events going round and round.
Mindful Exercise
It takes practice to stop the brain doing this and to be mindful. A good place to start is by picking one thing you do daily, perhaps walking to the bus stop or station for work. You can even practice this when loading the dishwasher or cleaning your teeth.
Next time you take this walk or do a chore, concentrate on being present in the moment. Think about what you can see, hear, feel, smell, how the ground feels under your feet. Engage all your senses, this will help you stay present. If you find your mind wandering, bring it back to one of your senses. Ask yourself what am I seeing right now, what am hearing, how does it smell. You will be surprised at the things that you have never noticed on that same trip you take every day.
With regular practice your brain will start to get used to being more present in the moments which in turn will help you feel calmer and help regain some inner peace and quiet.
Being mindful can really help with stressful situations allowing you to get out of your head for a while and quieten the mind.

Give it a go... become present in life, not an observer of past events and a predictor of future ones.

One Small Thought

'It has been said that something as small as the flutter of a butterfly's wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world' - Chaos Theory
One small thought can change the world. Remember the film "The Butterfly Effect", if you have not seen it I recommend watching it.
Everything is energy including our thoughts. Our whole physical world is made up of vibrations of energy including our thoughts! Thoughts have a powerful influence not just in your mind but also outside of you. They affect what happens to you and this in turn affects what happens in the rest of the world.
Many of us fill our mind with worries and fears unaware of the powerful force of our thoughts.
The thoughts which you create in your mind create a path for the desired outcome of your focus. When you focus on fear and failure this is the energy vibration sent out into the world and this becomes what you attract like a magnet.
To change your life you must look at how you are using your mind. To change external outcomes you must first change internal conditions by creating thoughts of positivity and success.
One thought creates a flutter of energy like a butterfly wing which in turn can create a typhoon!

Make sure your butterfly wings are sending out positive vibrations :)

Social Anxiety

Study: Social Anxiety is Associated with Being an Empath
Those of you who are familiar with social anxiety will understand how hard social interactions may be for people suffering from this disorder. Simple everyday situations that seem perfectly fine to most people, such as talking to a stranger in the street or making a phone call, can lead to intense disturbing symptoms that accompany anxiety and stress: high heart rate, trembling, excessive sweating, etc.
And it’s not only about physical symptoms. It seems that socially anxious people can’t have a “normal” life – meeting new people, making friends, going out and partying – as almost any social situation causes discomfort and confusion. Many of them believe that something is wrong with them and they need to be “fixed”.

But it’s not always as it seems, and there may be much more profound causes behind social anxiety disorder than we used to think.
